Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign designed to promote and increase the awareness of breast cancer. 55,000 people per year are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. Thanks to research, more people are surviving breast cancer each year, however there are still almost 1,000 women per month that die from breast cancer in the UK.
Throughout the month of October, we will be hosting events and running seminars to boost the awareness of breast cancer across the countries where our offices reside. We will also be discussing how families can, using critical illness insurance, mitigate the financial implications a diagnosis can cause.
Holborn’s Pink Events
In support of breast cancer awareness month, Holborn are turning pink for the whole of October! We’ve decorated our offices pink, updated our website and social media channels.

Holborn’s Charity Work
Breast cancer is something that’s very close to our chest at Holborn and is a cause we’ve been supporting for a number of years. Back in 2014 Holborn’s very own Janet Knight did a skydive in support of Breast Cancer Arabia, check out the video of her amazing effort below. Will Janet do it again this year? Stay tuned to find out…
What happened Last Year?
Holborn Malaysia ran a breast cancer awareness roadshow where ladies were invited to attend informational talks, have free breast examinations, BMI and blood pressure tests and were offered free consultations from doctors.
