About Kara
Kara was born and raised in Antigua & Barbuda, later pursuing her education at York University in Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science. Her career began in corporate institutional sales, working with Cable and Wireless, one of Britain’s largest telecom providers, for three years.
Driven by a desire for continued growth, Kara moved to North America to take the U.S. Securities exams, becoming a licensed stockbroker for TD Ameritrade. Alongside her work, Kara was trading and researching cryptocurrencies, which led her back to Antigua & Barbuda at a time when crypto regulations were taking shape.
She joined a family office with operations in Antigua and Switzerland, where she managed their crypto treasury and executed private equity investments in the blockchain space. During her tenure, Kara helped establish a licensed and regulated crypto hedge fund, OTC trading desk, and wallet service, eventually taking on the role of Business Development Manager.
Recognizing the synergies between crypto, family offices, private banking, and Citizenship by Investment, Kara now brings her expertise to Holborn Assets as a Partner, where she focuses on providing tailored CBI solutions to high-net-worth individuals, particularly within the crypto community and family offices.
Kara has written articles on CBI and its intersection with crypto that have been published, and she has been quoted in major publications such as Bloomberg, South China Morning Post, and Bitcoin Magazine. With a wealth of experience across finance, blockchain, and international investment, Kara is set to make a significant impact in the CBI space at Holborn Assets.
