The Holborn Assets team are incredibly passionate about giving back to the community, and one foundation they’ve supported greatly is Courage Compassion Commitment (CCC) Foundation. The CCC Foundation collaborated with the Ministry of Health and National Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2006 to build a much-needed “Transit Home” for the day patients of the NCI. CCC House, a 194-bed transit home at Maharagama, today provides accommodation for patients during their treatment. Maintaining this facility as a world-class outfit requires constant funds, which are raised through donations.

CCC Foundation is also involved in a second project, the CCC Line – a free telephone counselling service, which provides emotional support and guidance for any Sri Lankan who requires such assistance. By dialling CCC Line’s 1333 number, callers from anywhere in the island, through any phone service are connected to a trained telephone counsellor who will provide support.

The well-known organisation supports cancer patients and has received substantial donations from Holborn Assets, as well as a Public Address System and Audio System requested by CCC House.

Shane Jayemanne said that “at Holborn the culture of giving goes beyond social responsibility. We count it as a joy. This culture has been part of the Holborn DNA from its inception and represents the heart of its Founder and CEO, Robert Parker. The team here at CCC House has done exceptional work and we are glad we could be a part of it. We will treasure the time we spent with the patients at CCC House.”

Laksiri Fernando, Manager of the CCC House said that “we are thankful to the team from Holborn Assets for this kind initiative. We at CCC House strive to maintain this facility as a safe, clean, comfortable abode for the cancer patients who need day treatment. Our efforts are supported by organisations such as yours who believe in touching the lives of people as CSR. On behalf of the CCC Foundation I extend my gratitude to you.”
