    A Golden Visa is a fast-track process for obtaining permanent residence & citizenship in an EU country. There are many advantages of this programme, such as favourable tax benefits, excellent healthcare and outstanding education options for you and your family.

    With the Portuguese Golden Visa, you could be working in Portugal in as little as 6-9 months. You will be able to live and work in Portugal once you have received your Golden Visa.

    Once you make your investment (minimum €280,000) your application is then processed by the SEF (Portugal's immigration department) and from there, it will take 6-9 months until you receive your GV. Once you've received it, you then have the right to live and work in Portugal.

    In order to qualify for the program a qualifying investment has to be made.

    To obtain a Portuguese Golden Visa, you must bring the minimum investment amount from outside of Portugal into the country. This means that the minimum investment cannot be taken out as a loan or mortgage from a Portuguese financial institution.

    You can liquidate assets (such as investments or property) from outside of Portugal in order to raise the funds required to begin the process.
