About Gerard
Gerard (Gerry) Leahy has had over 18 years of experience in Facilities Management, covering system integration, CAD automation, dynamic web design and streamlining FM functions – as well as processes such as space management and CMMS systems, help desk, moves/add/changes, assets and people management.
Gerry comes from a professional technology background as an engineering graduate of Trinity College, Dublin.
He has experience in supporting financial services companies with their central operations and technology; Gerry has worked in London, New York, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Paris (and now Dubai), as well many other critical business locations.
For Morgan Stanley Europe, Gerry once prepared the specifications and RFPs and project-managed the acquisition, installation and customisation of the Computer Integrated Facilities Management (CIFM) system ARCHIBUS/FM. The project was brought in on-time and under-budget; post-implementation analysis has confirmed that Morgan Stanley saved time and money as a result.
Gerry also managed the development of a global space management system, and successfully integrated it into CAD and various corporate systems. He was also responsible for the development and implementation of certain web applications that have greatly enhanced the capabilities of the CIFM system for the client.
Furthermore, Gerry has had extensive experience in the management, design, development and timely delivery of space management technology solutions for a range of high-end clients.
Gerry is nowadays primarily located in Dubai, UAE where he is expanding Space Data Technology. He also travels frequently to Europe, Asia and Africa in order to support both existing clients and opportunities for new business.
