About Sean
An accomplished Finance professional with a strategic focus. Sean brings on board extensive experience in Corporate Finance consulting, having represented two of the ‘Big 4’ global financial advisory services providers in advising a myriad of publicly quoted and privately operated organizations across a wide spectrum of industries in Sri Lanka and Kuwait.
Sean pursued professional accounting and finance studies for membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, UK) and the Association of Certified and Corporate Accountants (ACCA, UK) instead of the traditional undergraduate route after secondary school in Sri Lanka. He complemented his studies with experience gained in Business Advisory Services with Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, where he had risen to Manager by the time he completed his studies. Sean’s professional status has since risen to FCCA, ACMA, CPA and CGMA.
The next phase in Sean’s life included marriage and venturing out to the Middle East to propel his career forward. Initially, it was Kuwait, to Ernst and Young and onwards to KPMG. During his tenure with these two global financial advisory heavyweights, Sean had the opportunity to work on several high-profile engagements – including mergers and cross-border acquisitions, financial restructuring exercises, company valuations, business plans, financial modeling exercises and feasibility studies – across industries such as financial services, real estate, education, healthcare and manufacturing. A number of these engagements were carried out for publicly listed enterprises and multinational organizations.
Sean stepped into a corporate role as Director of Finance of Holborn Assets in 2015.
