    To obtain a Portuguese Golden Visa, you must bring the minimum investment amount from outside of Portugal into the country. This means that the minimum investment cannot be taken out as a loan or mortgage from a Portuguese financial institution.

    No. You do not have to live in Portugal permanently in order to renew your Golden Visa or to receive permanent residence or citizenship.

    The minimum stay requirements for the Portugal Golden Visa are that you have to stay in the country for at least 7 days in the first year and then fourteen days in the following two-year periods (a total of 5 weeks in 5 years).
