Hi, I'm David Wells
Regional and Global Equity Investments, UK Pensions Transfers
David says: 'I believe that pension transfers, as they become increasingly competitive, need to be fully understood by a financial adviser. Many of my clients have (sadly) experienced the opposite; ie given advice with no understanding of the robust financial issues at stake.
Like me, Holborn Assets is keen to promote the values that matter: openness, honesty and transparency. This is why I like to work at my clients’ pace, ensuring that everything is clear; I like my clients to have plenty of time to think before making any financial decision.’
Davis is fortunate enough to have been in the Financial Services sector for over 25 years.
Starting with Barclays in 1986 until 2009, David was an International Investment Manager in London before setting up Barclays Premier Banking in Dubai in 2004 and then moving over to Barclays Wealth MENA. He followed this with two years at Standard Chartered Private Bank.
In 2012, David moved to Mauritius to work for a private bank before being headhunted by Holborn Assets in the summer of 2013.
David has continued to build on his career successes with further professional qualifications over the years:
Beginning with the Financial Planning Certificate (1998), David has also gained the Institute of Bankers Certificate in Offshore Investments (2001), the IFS Level 3 Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice (2003), the SII Level 3 Certificate in Investments (2004), the SII Unit 4 Securities and Financial Derivatives (2004), culminating in the CFA Level 3 in Investment Management (2009).
